Read the Ads page
The home of Facebook Ads Manager. Performance at a glance, AI copy suggestions, and every campaign and ad in one table.
The Ads page is what opens when you select Facebook Ads Manager. It is built for the daily check: is spend where you expect, what is working, and what needs switching on or off.
Choosing an ad account
The picker in the top right sets which ad account the whole page shows. If you imported more than one, switch here. Your default account is selected to begin with.
Next to it are New Campaign, the Settings gear, and on larger screens Show assistant.
Performance
The chart at the top plots one metric over a period. Pick the metric from the dropdown and the range from Last 7 days, Last 14 days or Last 30 days.
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Amount spent | What Meta charged over the period. The default. |
| Purchases | Purchases Meta attributed to your ads. |
| ROAS | Return on ad spend. Revenue divided by spend. |
| Cost per purchase | Spend divided by purchases. |
| Cost per click | Spend divided by clicks. |
| Cost per 1K impressions | What a thousand views cost. |
| CTR | Click-through rate. Clicks divided by impressions. |
| Impressions | Times an ad was shown. |
| Clicks | Times someone clicked. |
AI suggestions
The AI suggestions card finds your top-performing ads by click-through rate. Open it, pick an ad, and Sellify writes fresh copy variations for the same image. Each variation has a copy button; Copied confirms it is on your clipboard. Paste it into a new ad when you build one.
Suggestions appear once your ads have run long enough to have data. Generating them uses a small amount of credits.
Campaigns and ads
Below the cards, switch between Active campaigns and Ads.
Active campaigns
Each row shows the campaign's Name, Status, Daily budget and your chosen metrics. Spent, Results and ROAS show by default; open Display settings to add Cost per result, Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM or CPC.
Paused campaigns are hidden by default. Turn on Show paused campaigns to see them. Search by name, or filter by Status.
A budget of ABO means the budget is set per ad set rather than on the campaign.
What the statuses mean
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Starting up | Live, but nothing delivered yet. Meta is still reviewing or ramping up. |
| Running | Delivering. If it says no conversions yet, that is normal early on. |
| Scheduled | Waiting for its start date. |
| Paused | Not delivering because it is switched off. |
| Completed | Past its end date. |
| Draft | Not yet published to Meta. |
| Failed | Publishing did not finish. |
| Archived | Archived in Meta. |
Doing things from a row
Hover a row for the on/off switch and the Edit campaign gear. Tick rows to Resume several at once. See Managing campaigns.
Select a campaign name to open its own page, with a funnel, trends and its ad sets.
Ads
The Ads table lists every ad across the account with its thumbnail, status, Ad Set, Campaign and metrics. Select an ad to open Ad details, which shows the creative, Primary text, Headline, Call to action, Destination URL and the Page and Instagram identity it runs under, plus an Edit ad button.
How fresh the numbers are
Once connected, recent results refresh about every 30 minutes and a deeper refresh of the last 90 days runs once a day. Campaign structure re-syncs daily too.
Need it now? Refresh data on a campaign page, or Sync insights in Settings, asks Meta for an immediate update.
