# Control MCP access for your workspace

> Decide what members can do with AI tools, see every MCP key in your workspace, and revoke any key.

Owners and admins decide what members can do with AI tools connected over [MCP](https://sellify.ai/docs/glossary#mcp). You can also see every MCP key in the workspace, including keys members create, and revoke any of them.

## Before you start

You need to be a workspace owner or admin. Otherwise you won't see **MCP access** in your settings.

## Choose what members can do

Open **Settings → MCP access** and find the "Who can use MCP keys" card. Owners and admins can always connect with any scope. This setting only changes members, and it covers both MCP keys and tools that connect by signing in.

| Option | What happens |
| ------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Members can create any key** | Members choose the scopes for their keys and sign-ins. They still cannot make changes, because only owners and admins can. |
| **Members can only create read-only keys** | Members' keys and sign-ins can read data and search Ad Spy, which uses credits. Any write scopes they have stop working. |
| **Only owners and admins can use MCP keys** | Members cannot create keys or connect tools, and their existing keys and connections stop working until you change this back. |

When you tighten the setting, Sellify asks you to confirm. Select **Change setting** to apply it straight away.

Member keys that the setting affects show a **Paused** or **Read only** badge in the list of keys. Loosening the setting again brings them back.

## See every key

The "Keys in this workspace" card lists every MCP key that can act in the workspace. Tools that connected by signing in are not listed here. It shows each key's name, who created it, its scopes, its status and when it was last used.

If the person who created a key has left, it shows **No longer a member**. Keys stop working when their owner leaves the workspace.

## Revoke a key

Find the key in "Keys in this workspace", select **Revoke**, then select **Revoke key**.

> **Revoking is permanent**
>
> The key stops working right away for every AI tool that uses it, and it cannot be turned back on. This cannot be undone. The person who owns it can create a new key if they're still allowed to.

## If something's not right

### I don't see MCP access in my settings

**Why this happens:** You aren't an owner or admin of this workspace, or a different workspace is selected.

**What to do:** Check the selected workspace and your role in **Settings → Members**. If you are an owner or admin and still don't see it, contact support and name the workspace.

### A member's key keeps spending credits

**Why this happens:** Ad Spy searches use credits, even with read-only keys.

**What to do:** Revoke the key, or choose **Only owners and admins can use MCP keys**. Each key also has its own daily credit limit, which the member can set lower when they create a new one.
