# MCP tool reference

> Every tool the Sellify MCP server offers, with its inputs, outputs, scope, credit cost and an example call.

The Sellify MCP server offers 121 tools. Each tool maps to one action in Sellify.

These pages are generated from the live tool definitions and list every tool. A single connection can see fewer, because its scopes, the `read_only` option and the `toolsets` option all narrow the list.

## Reading a tool entry

- **Access.** Read-only tools never change data. Other tools write data, and some delete or overwrite it.
- **Scope.** The scope a key or sign-in needs before the tool is offered. See [Authentication](https://sellify.ai/docs/developers/authentication).
- **Credits.** What the tool spends. Tools that spend credits need `max_credits`. See [Credits and limits](https://sellify.ai/docs/developers/credits-and-limits).
- **Safe to repeat.** Calling the tool again with the same input has the same effect as calling it once.
- **Input and output.** Top-level fields only. Nested objects are shown as `object` or `array of object`.

## Load fewer tools

Add `read_only=1` or `toolsets=` to the MCP address to offer a shorter list. The areas above match the `toolsets` values `ad_spy`, `products`, `angles`, `image_ads`, `library` and `boards`. The workspace tools that only read are always offered.
