Do I need a product to use Ad Spy?
No. Search, follow and save on day one. A product is needed only to recreate an ad or get brand recommendations.
No. Ad Spy works before you have set anything up. Search, follow brands, browse expert picks and save ads to boards straight away.
A product is needed for two things only:
- Recreate with my product, because recreation has to know what it is adapting the ad to. The dialog asks you to pick a product.
- The Recommended for your product strip on the Following page, which matches brands to a product you select.
Browsing first is a reasonable way to start. Seeing what your competitors run often makes it clearer what your own product page should emphasize. Ad Spy is metered, though: searching, opening ads and fetching followed brands use small amounts of credits, so check Understand credits before a long session.
